Bloggin Blues
To many all my blog fans, OK my one fan Shannon who is annoyed with my lack of blogging participation and enthusiasm. I very well many be the worst blogger in the short and strange history of blogging. I have/had good intentions though.
Seen a lot of amazing live music lately, and have plans and tickets to see more, plus Rothbury again this year. Maybe I'll decide to write about it all someday. :-)
Blessings, Sunny

Sarah McCoy
Singer songwriter Sarah McCoy's soulful voice will send chills down your back. Sarah's talent is so obvious from the first few notes you hear.
Of course the comparisons to other influences are there if you really listen. However, what I think is amazing is that Sarah McCoy is able to use whatever brought her to this place, to create HER OWN style and sound. And that as you know music lovers, is something to be thankful for in this era of "corporate" pre-packaged music. Her fantastic ability to play and song write are not seen often these days. Sarah McCoy is one unique artist that will not disappoint.
Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, Sarah's incredibly emotional and powerful voice, simply beautiful piano work, and well crafted lyrics are a treat not to be missed.
Sarah is currently living in Monterey County California. Stay tuned for upcoming shows, CD's and tours.

Oakland Coliseum.. In the secret space of dreams
Grateful Dead
Oakland Coliseum Arena
December 17, 1993
Here Comes Sunshine
Walkin' Blues
Jack-A-Roe
Desolation Row
Ramble On Rose
Broken Arrow
Lazy River Road
The Music Never Stopped
Help On The Way>Slipknot! >Franklin's Tower
Saint Of Circumstance >
Crazy Fingers>
Corrina>
Drums>
Space>
The Last Time>
Attics Of My Life>
Good Lovin'
Encore: I Fought The Law
People are asking me what my favorite show is. My answer is always the same, The Grateful Dead Shows I was at.
This show is sweet, even with my least favorite Encore of all time. ;-) This Thursday show remains one of the best times of 1993 for me. One of my favorites moments in my life is Slip>Franklins, right there at ">" the joy I feel in that moment is almost a crazed euphoria. Corrina and I had a major moment this night ;-)For the 90’s this is a great night. I think the boys always enjoy being home.
Spent the show on the floor, in a huge pile of dancing laughing happy friends. Also, this perfect night in Oakland might go down as one of the funniest/best set breaks ever. And I very honestly believe that during drums and space the Oakland Coliseum became a spaceship, and took us on an inner galactic adventure. No really… it happened. ;-)
Enjoy,
Sunny

Lilac Rain At Rothbury
Phil Lesh and Friends
Live at Rothbury Music Festival
July 6, 2008
Here Comes Sunshine + *
Althea +
China Cat Sunflower +
Mexican Girl +
Dire Wolf
About Cell Block #9
Sugaree *
Help on the Way
Slipknot
Franklin’s Tower *
Eyes of the World
Uncle John's Band
Mountains of the Moon
Unbroken Chain
New Speedway Boogie
Fire on the Mountain
Donor Rap/Intros
Encore~ Dancin’ in the Streets*
+ w/ Warren Haynes
* w/ Teresa Williams
Phil has been rocking my world with this band since the very first night I saw them all together in Santa Barbara in 2007. My first thought was damn Phil looks great, second thought, who is this Jackie Greene? Wow… I am now a huge Jackie Greene fan, and have seen him several times with his own bands as well. This is by far in my honest option the best band Phil and Friends has had ever, minus the very first magically night in Berkeley in 1994. ;-)
The Rothbury Music Festival was just mind blowing. And if the line up is anything like this past year, I will for sure be there.
Phil and Friends closed out the festival on Sunday night, played to the early morning of Monday. P&F were outstanding as always. Nice having Warren Haynes (normally not a huge Warron fan) sit in, his Athena was really lovely. Anytime I just to hear this band play Sugaree, you know it is a great night.
The moment Phil sang out Lilac Rain, I felt raindrops. Magic…
Enjoy,
Sunny

This show is hard to describe, it such an emotional show for me. How do you describe near perfection? Bliss. Love. Magical.
This is without a doubt one of my favorites Grateful Dead Shows. (Especially one I was not actually in attendance.)
The Believe It Or Not brings me to tears every time I hear it. Every time. This Dew, is mind blowing and Blackbird? What a treat. Still not my first show… mine is not for a month later.
Enjoy,
Sunny
